Candra & the dining room

We had a great visit with Candra on Monday evening. To have visits from two of Sarah's dearest friends within a week was so nice.
So Sarah I completely forgot to send you images of the dining room...these are not exactly true colour representations but I think that you get a good idea...

Kuma, Nick & Kathy

Well it is May 24th and we had a great visit from Kuma, Nick & Kathie. Mom asked them to come up for the day so that we didn't have to drive to Calgary. Kathie was kind enough to do the driving. We had a nice visit, quiche, salad and fruit and cookies for desert.

Ma's new digs & company

It was such a wonderful surprise that Clara rang the doorbell and we sat and chatted clear into the morning...you can tell that Clara adjusted to the new furniture with ease. And a bit more comfortable....
AND mom sitting in my chair ...she had her first G&T of the summer....so you know that it is nice weather finally...
Auntie Cheryl and mom...G&T and wine...the boys stuck to the beer...surprise
It was a great visit with Cheryl & Gerry...mom made a killer dinner...a nice quiet night with good friends....
These are not the best shots of the room but the new drapes are beautiful. The last picture gives you a bit of a view of the hardwood and the coffee table. I'll take more when we get stuff on teh walls...

The Last School Council Meeting 2008

So May 13, 2008 was my last School Council meeting ever... when I arrived at about 19h10 I noticed a suburban (not mine) in the parking lot. Well I knew right away that something must be up because Cheryl Dryer never gets there before me. So the table was set...strawberries dipped in chocolate (white then dark) appearing like a tuxedo, fish crackers, fish gummies, and a tackle box filled with fish cookies...and oh yes punch filled with fresh strawberries. The fish cookies were decorated with a bunch of words...happy retirement, Pete, Bellerose, DAwg Tales, etc...and they had little paw prints all over them. One of the football moms does this all the time for our football banquets...a dead easy giveaway.
It was a really nice sent off by a wonderful group of parents.
