Gran's New Digs

So here we are at Gran's new digs... GRAN, Marian, Tom and Devyn and I took most of Sunday and Monday of the Canada Day weekend to move gran to her new home in St. Albert. For the Americans, Canada Day falls on July 1st...it is kind of like the 4th of July in the USA.
The new digs are a whopping 474 square feet of apt style living...so for gran to move from her 1040 square foot (plus basement) condo to this place was and is quite a challenge. The main living room space is split up by a wall that has the cupboards, a beer fridge and a sink. On the left you can see gran sitting in an alcove (for lack of a better descriptor) and on the right...at least it is on the right as I write this..she is sitting in her new mondo modern remote controlled lazy boy chair.

I am hoping that in the next order is a shot of the "kitchen" area with her microwave, new dining table (drop leaf)...

And now if there is any control of where the photos and writing line up...we should be in gran's bedroom.

So today when we went over to see gran before beers with the Spencers and Carly we went to see gran and drop off a few things...she looked great...she had lunch in her new spot and fish for supper. Her comments were very positive and she did say that she does feel a tad "young" in this place...she did say that everyone was really nice. The most overwhelming thing is that she has discovered that she brought tooooo much stuff along...when we arrived she announced that a huge tupperware container was full of stuff that needed to be taken to the Salvation Army.
